OPENING HOURS
WED-THUR: 5pm until late
FRI-SAT: 12pm until late
SUN: 12pm-6pm

Reservations are available 6 weeks in advance on a rolling release. Reservations can be made online or via email.

If your preferred date and time is unavailable, we encourage you to make a request, email our reservations team or come by as a walk-in.

As some of our seating options are stools, please let us know if you require a chair with a back, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

We do not have a phone number – please use reservations@carnationcanteen.com for all correspondence and communication.

FOOD SERVICE
Reservations are for those intending to dine. For those looking to join us for a drink, please join us as a walk-in.

Lunch is served from 12pm until 4pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Dinner is served from 5pm Wednesday through Saturday.

Our Aperitivo menu is available during all hours of operation.

RESERVATIONS & DINING TIME
We take a limited number of dining room reservations for lunch and dinner and allow space for walk-ins.

Lunch reservations offer two dining sessions: the first beginning at 12pm and the second beginning at 2.15pm. All lunch reservations are for a 2-hour dining time.

Dinner reservations are also offered in two dining sessions: the first beginning at 6pm for a 2-hour dining time, and the second beginning at 8.15pm.

Tables will be held for a 15-minute grace period in the case of late arrival.

OUTDOOR DINING
Our courtyard and Gore St dining spaces are available to walk-ins for drinks, lunch and dinner. We do not offer reservations for our alfresco dining areas. Our courtyard dining area is covered and heated in the winter, but please dress for the weather.

MENUS
Our à la carte and set menus are highly seasonal, changing weekly. Each menu is loosely mediterranean and we use organic and biodynamic ingredients wherever possible. Please note any dietary requirements, allergies or restrictions at the time of booking, or update us via email.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
We can accommodate most major dietary requirements and ask for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Kindly note that dietary alternatives may be limited.

Please contact our reservations team regarding anaphylaxis allergies.

LARGE GROUPS
We kindly ask all large groups of 6 or more to choose from a $90 or $125 set menu; and we require a $50 per person deposit in lieu of a credit card guarantee to secure the reservation.

For all enquiries larger than 12 guests, please contact our reservations team for information on private event arrangements.

CHILDREN & PRAMS
We invite children to take a seat at the table and enjoy our menu.

Due to the small size of our dining room, we cannot accommodate highchairs, booster seats, prams or capsules. We do not allow the use of iPads, computers or flash photography, and we do not allow external food to be served in the venue.

ACCESSIBILITY
We are a wheelchair accessible venue. If you or one of your guests is a wheelchair user, please let us know via email or in the comments at the time of booking.

DRESS CODE
Smart casual.

CREDIT CARD GUARANTEE & SURCHARGES
Credit card details are required to guarantee your reservation. Providing your card details pre-authorises a charge of $50 per person in the case of late cancellation or reschedule within 24 hours and failure to show with no notice.

A 15% surcharge applies on all public holidays and a surcharge applies to all card payments.

Please be aware that there is a 10% weekend surcharge on Sunday dining.

Cancellation terms are provided at the time of booking.
